Violence alternates with love bombing, a seemingly endless cycle of abuse that many women are forced to endure. Inspired by real-life stories, this film gives survivors the space to express their experiences and emotions.
Drawing on the testimonies of Australian women who have lived through domestic and family violence, this immersive experience conveys what it feels like when someone gradually constricts your freedom of action, limits your autonomy, and instills the sense that you have no control over what happens to you. In a living room, the voices of women who have survived abusive relationships are heard. As they speak, the space slowly transforms, making visible the subtle process of love bombing, psychological manipulation, and emotional abuse known as gaslighting. Beyond the psychological and physical mechanisms of coercion, these stories also reveal how abuse can lead to a complete loss of trust in the justice system.
