Amenities

Library, Clubroom, and Café Floor

Accessible entry is possible from the courtyard (go around the mill to the right; the courtyard is located behind the mill from the bike path). This entrance allows wheelchair and stroller access to the library, clubroom, café, and accessible toilets. The café can also be accessed directly from the path by 5 steps.

Mlýnice Hall Floor – Mlýnice hall is not accessible

The main access is from the café/courtyard, leading down a corridor to the toilets and then down a steep and narrow staircase with a railing on the left side. The staircase has 21 steps, and caution is required at the bottom due to a lowered ceiling.

An alternative entrance is possible from the front side of the building (from the area in front of the mill), which has 9 steps, followed by 4 additional steps behind the door. This entrance is closed during winter months and must be arranged in advance. Once an event has started, this entrance cannot be used, as it would disrupt the cultural program.

Refreshments

The café is part of the space and is freely accessible from the library. During cultural events, it is possible to take drinks downstairs to the Mlýnice hall. There are often queues at the bar before the event starts, so we recommend arriving early and perhaps enjoying a moment to sit down.

Equipment

The hall has a capacity of 100 seats.

Dogs on a leash are allowed, and we prefer that they lie on the floor rather than on the couch.

You are welcome to bring drinks from the local café into the screening.

Tickets

Tickets can be purchased 30 minutes before the event starts in the foyer of the mill or online via GoOut: GoOut – Velký Mlýn (with multiple payment options available).

Card payments are not accepted on-site.

Advance reservations are not possible.

About Organizer

Velký Mlýn is a cultural centre located in the historic building of a former mill in Libeň. It was established thanks to the initiative of two individuals who long-term rented the old mill from the local municipality and invested their own funds to create a space where culture, education, and art come together. From the very beginning, the project was conceived in cooperation with the Prague City Library as a venue for a new, unique branch, where visitors can enjoy reading a book, for example, with a hot mill lemonade in hand. Velký Mlýn is not run by the local municipality or any other institution – it is an independent space open to all who seek quality programming and an inspiring environment.
